Rashida Jones Bio
Rashida Jones was born Rashida Leah Jones on February 25, 1976, in Bel Air, Los Angeles, California. Her horoscope is Pisces and she is the youngest daughter of her father Quincy Jones, a renowned record producer and musician and her mother, actress Peggy Lipton. Rashida has one older sister from his mother – Kidada Jones – and five half-siblings from his father – children from marriages/affairs he had with other women. Her parents divorced when she was only fourteen and so she moved to Brentwood with her mother while her sister, Kidada, remained in Bel Air with her father. Her ancestry is mixed as one father’s line is African American (with Cameroonian ties) and Welsh while her mother Peggy is Ashkenazi Jewish. However,
Rashida grew up in the Bel Air neighborhood of Los Angeles and attended Hebrew school, but did not graduate from there. She then attended Buckley School in Sherman Oaks, California, where classmates including Kim Kardashian, Nicole Richie and Paris Hilton voted her “most likely to succeed” due to her outstanding qualities. The actress showed a flair for the entertainment industry at a young age by playing the piano and writing songs. At Buckley, Rashida was part of the drama/drama group under the mentorship of her then acting teacher, Tim Hillman. She also had a college education at Harvard University where she earned a bachelor’s degree in religion and philosophy before graduating in 1997.
Interestingly, the entertainment superstar that we are today would not have been or could have been but in another field as she initially had a great love for the legal profession and wanted to become a lawyer. However, she became discouraged from the profession after following the OJ Simpson murder case. The antics of the trial caused her to change her interest to pursue an acting career.

But even if she is not married and therefore does not have a husband, she is still not a lesbian. Her sexual orientation is straight and she has had a long list of affairs with the latest being Ezra Koenig, lead singer and guitarist of the rock band, Vampire Weekend. Rashida Jones and Tupac
Rashida Jones’ relationship (not an affair) with Tupac Shakur started on a sour note after the American rapper dissected his father, Quincy Jones in an interview with The Source magazineto be an anti-black movement, marry only white women, and have “damn kids.” Rashida, then a 17-year-old girl, picked up Tupac and wrote him an open letter in response. In her letter, she defended her father and criticized the rapper for not respecting his father and not realizing that his father’s sacrifices paved the way for him (and other black people) to s express in the first place. The letter was published in the same magazine that granted Pac the interview and the world marveled at the wisdom of 17-year-old Rashida. This altercation would have eventually allowed Tupac to have access to Rashida’s family, which allowed him to win her over as a friend and to date her older sister, Kidada,
