Chante added that Kadeem preferred her for who she was defining the kind of friendship they have got. She said:

“There was once actual honest love or even once we broke up, we still care about each and every other. Nothing’s gonna happen that makes him no longer my circle of relatives to me."

Since splitting from Kadeem, Chante married Kenny Lattimore with whom she has a son born in 2003. Chante and Kenny had been married for nine years but they called it quits in 2011.
